What's A Hidden Auction?
You've all seen those eBay auctions that have misspelled brand names in the title, right? Since the brand name is incorrect, it doesn't show up when people search for it and is therefore referred to as being a "hidden auction."

What's A Visible Auction?
For the purposes of this site, the Visible Auctions are the ones that are correctly spelled which means that they show up in correctly spelled searches. For each brand, HiddenAuction.com includes links to the hidden auctions, visible auctions, and all of them together.

Why A Website?
Hidden Auction was created to search out these hidden auctions for children's boutique clothing by searching for a wide array of misspelled or incorrectly typed alternatives for the actual brand name. These can be time consuming to search each one out yourself, so we've taken the legwork out for you.

Each auction that you see on the site includes about 60 search term variations per brand and automatically updates for price and time left before closing just like on regular eBay.

I Clicked One of the Auction Links but Nothing Happened.
When you click on one of the auction links, the specific auction will pop up in a new window, so you need to make sure you have the popup blocker off.

The Brand I Want Isn't Here.
If a brand you are looking for isn't one of the ones listed, you can use the Create A Search tool to make your own hidden auction search or use the Suggest A Brand form to let us know what you'd like to see.

Why Are Some of the Brands Missing a "&" or " ' "?
Those two search strings are also used in code and tend to screw up the script so it doesn't work. To counteract this, we've discovered that simply deleting those characters returns accurate searches without messing up the script. It does make it look like we've misspelled the brand name though ourselves. :)

I Clicked on a Brand, but all that Came Up was an eBay Search Box.
If there are no hidden auctions at the moment, the script will show an eBay search box. Try taking a look at the visible auctions for auctions containing the brand name you're looking for.

How come the Hanna Andersson links and other brands that include adult clothing only return auctions for kids' clothes?
All the links on this site are filtered to include only the auctions in the Children's Clothing categories. We will be adding new sections to the site for Women's Clothing, Electronics, and Toys so check back often or sign up for our mailing list and we'll let you know when we're up and running.
